Hi!

I don't really want to use the ASUS drivers. Is there a way to enable Overdrive on my GPU? For example with W1zzet's drivers? Or it won't work?

All the ATI based drivers, even modded ones will have the overdrive tab if the card supports it. Overdrive doesn't do much, you should just overclock manually.
BTW the best drivers I've found for Radeon cards are the omega drivers.
www.omegadrivers.net

Pair that up with ATI Tray tools and you wil have great performance and control over every aspect of your driver.

Yes, thats the problem. ASUS has DISABLED the overdrive through Cataclyst, it only works with THEIR own drivers, which annoys me.

"Gehört man zu den glücklichen Besitzern einer Asus Radeon 9800 XT, muss man derzeit leider noch immer auf die treiberseitige Aktivierung des Overdrive-Features verzichten. Um diese Funktion dennoch nutzen zu können, entwickelt Asus zur Zeit eine spezielle Version des Catalyst-Treibers, welche die Aktivierung des dynamischen, temperaturabhängigen Overclocking ermöglicht, leider aber noch nicht verfügbar ist."

Which means translated: "ASUS deactivated overdrive through Cataclyst softrware and only activated it in their own drivers"

If you are set on having that overdrive tab, Flash the bios to something else
Voila, you have a powercolor, or ATI, or sapphire
I personally recommend the powercolor bios.
You can get it at guru3d.com
also, get Flashrom.
Just make sure to back up the old vbios to your dos boot disk and always have a pci video card on hand. (nothing special, I use a $7 S3 8MB card as a backup)
If you don't know how to flash your card, there is info all over the web or at previously said web site.

Any questions or problems I'll be happy to answer them.

Don't worry, I flashed tons of stuff already. I hoped to get it to work without flashing, but it seems there is no other way.
