y ar some mobo.s dumb or dumbly built

as in my speck.s im runnen a epox board [i love it] but as with all boards it has some ishews

the bios is a lil bit stuped [an some times wont run the setting u set an u have to clear the bios]

the other rilly pisses me off the mobo has 4x ddr slots but damed me if i can get all 4 to run stable

an if seen this before on pc133 boars so dumb

[i allso have a intel 845chip set board with 3x ddr slots all single channel it allso canot run 3 512 sticks]
seams to run 2x just fine

as where ny asus nforce2 chip board has 3 slots 2 wich ar dule channel [this board will run 3 sticks no prob but in single channel mode as ther being 3 sticks]

y put 4x slots if u cant fisickly run 4 stick.s [it is nice to have spare slots mind u just in case]


allso i wana know if any one know y this is

is it just cus 4 sticks draws alot of power [an the mobo can push enuf?]

or is the chip set fartin out[maby trying to register tomaby pipe lines or sumthin]

both sets with run just fine on ther own [eather 2x sticks]

just when i try all 4 same cas settings it gets all bitchy

1x ocz stick ddr400 5ns

3x infineon sticks ddr400 5ns

the ocz stick has no probs running with just 1 other stick [like running dule channel with the infineon stick]

an when all 4 ar in they run dule channel so its 2 sets running sule channel? or does it try to role them all into 1

but still this board should be able to run the 4x 512 sticks i would think any way

you may have to run the ram with 2T settings if you have all 4 sticks in. I know that motherboards can be funny with different brands of ram.

Is there a bios setting for 2T/1T??? It will be under your ram options somewhere.

yeah an i have it on 2t command still not stable [with 4 sticks]
