My system:
-MSI > MS-7104 mobo (Duno is good or bad)
-Intel > Celeron D 330 2.66Ghz 533FSB
-Kingston > DDR PC3200 1024MB
-MSI > Radeon 9550 Pro 256MB (core 250Mhz, mem 200Mhz)
-PSU > PowerLogic RealPower 300W
Well, I'm running stable at 2.85Ghz clock speed for my cpu, but when I tried to make it to 3.06Ghz, my hdd get detected with funny model, and my system cant boot into windows at all. What cause this error?
Btw, is there any way to oc my graphic card? ATITool? I'm using Vista Ultimate 32bit.
Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Celerons aren't exactly designed for OCing.
ATITool is good. There's also ATI Tray Tools.

To use ATITool with Vista you will need to download the .27 release.

I'm not sure for that, but I'm goin to use this celeron d until i gather enough funds to upgrade the whole things.
so is there any idea for the 3.06Ghz problem? ATITool 0.27? I tried before but it works sometimes but sometimes don't, and sometimes it gave me error message, like driver couldnt be found etc.

If you start getting issues as you overclock, it's time to back up a little.

Hmm...that's mean I will stucked at 2.85Ghz and no more further?

OC until you get the issues and then back off a little. If they start only at 3.06, you can up it a little. Are you messing with voltages? You may need to increase the CPU's voltage to stabilize it while overclocked. But remember, it's a Celeron, so don't expect a whole lot.

Celerons are fine for overclocking. They are usually just crippled Pentiums.
What is your FSB and multi and ram settings?

My mobo doesn't give me the choice to oc by little bit only, only have few choice, and couldnt find any CPU voltage at all!
My original FSB is 533Mhz, now oc to 570Mhz, Multi is x20 and is locked by intel, but i duno how to see my ram setting, any idea?

you need to lock your pci frequency at 33 MHz.

couldnt lock my pci freq, all my CPU/AGP/PCI Freq are lock together in the selection.

Thats probably the problem. It's weird that a mb would allow you to oc in such a handicapped fashion. Every mb i've owned that had any oc options allowed some type of voltage adjustments or running pci linked or at a couple preset frequencies..

I also found weird myself, so wondering whether my mobo is good or bad... well i think is at least is better than intel board, my friend's mobo can't even change a single hertz.

Be careful ocing that FSB without a pci lock man, you will flog out your vcard!!!! they don't like their bus being oc'd much...

Celerons do oc pretty good. I stuck a 352 in my system to see what it caould do and got it up to 4.4ghz with no problems at all. Might've went higher if I played with it more.

Vista Ultimate sucks me, just restored back to XP Home, my graphic oc well in xp, but the celeron still the same, couldnt detect hdd when it reach 3.06Ghz, and I found that when i oc to 2.93Ghz, it can run windows for an hour or half an hour, then the whole thing just get hanged or restarted.

Just stuck it in the system in my sig. Scored almost 30k in 3dmark 01 which seems pretty good for a celeron.

Have you looked online for a modified bios for your MB??
That may be your solution to unlock your multi.
Without that option I would say buy another MB.

I have a e4300 core 2 duo cpu right now and I just removed it and replaced it with the 352 celeron d to see how well it would run compared to the 4300 and my older system with a p4 3.4 prescott
