I have radeon 9800pro and catalyst 5.4.
In version 0.22 ATI tool has found no errors for 22min (clocks are at normal settings - no oc).
In version 0.23 it finds "Delta in 1 pixel.." every times i run the test.. I have second card (9800pro), because old has died.. And when i have old there was this error too! So, maybe the second card has the same problems or it's something wrong with ATI tool.
In version 0.24 beta 9 program reports no errors, but.. i see them. Sometimes i can see yellow or white dots, but ATI tool still shows "no errors for.. " and doesn't report it in logs.
What do you think about it? Can it be video card fault or program?

0.23 introduced a new "heat generation engine" (new scanning method).
many users reported these 1 pixel errors, thats why the default settings is to ignore all 1 pixel errors (settings -> detection, sensitivity is one notch to the right)

i'm not sure myself if the 1 pixel errors are caused by higher heat output of by a program bug

I use the function to send sensor 0 and 1 to MBM and it is still there so what are you meaning by removed??

motherboard monitoring = hardware monitoring tab which was in settings to monitor your board temps from atitool etc..

video card monitoring stays as it is

I use ATITool to export to MBM sensor 4 and 5 and then use Samurize to show temps on my scren gathered from MBM.
So I have a neat little windows showing 7 temps from my watercooled system.
Two most important temps are the two from ATITool, so I know that I have low temps on my presssssious ATI X850XT @ 615/615

I hope this can help a bit. I have actually tried all beta and only got one problem with b7 where temp pending from 0 to real value.

Remember my problems with the lastest ATiTools? From the 1st Beta till Beta 8?
In this new version it has been fixed :) Now ATiTool detects my clocks and my vidcard.
Couldnt find this one in the changelog, so maybe u changed anything else?
And there is another problem, I have many times that I see temp 0 and temp 20. The last good working ATiTool was 0.22 for me with tempmonitoring. Dunno what has been changed in all those settings, but the tempmonitoring has a little bug. There are also more ppl with the same problem.

i'm trying right know the beta and the max OC for my memory was 245mhz with the 0.23; now with the 0.24 beta 9 is up to 260mhz... is this because of the pixel you told? can I trust the beta Ati Tool? or is preferable using the old settings for everyday use?
I'll test the new settings in games and i'll let you know if i see artifact, for now i just wanted to report this difference with the beta ;)

I found a PROBLEM.
I have just got my new 6800gt OC, now I can't resume from standby with atitool beta9 installed.
Also I know its called atitool, but could you add support for monitoring temps for nvidia cards too. you never know you might end with a program that could in the end overclock both types of card.

actually nvidia overclocking and temperature monitoring works (more or less)
ati overclocking is implemented there as well, no temp monitoring yet, maybe next week

I reinstalled ATI-Tool, then i turned in stanby... but I have to wait for 30sec, then there is no problem, but after 10sec the pixels are back on my screen!!!
Maybe the System needs some time to be copmletely in standby mode...???!!

when you wait after standby for about 30 seconds and then exit standby it works without crash?

And my Fan speed settings are still on default after standby!!

The "Mem" Button doesn't work! After pushing the Button, there are such strange Signs and then ATI-Tool crashs !!!


After sec Test:

I can decide between Standby without crash and default fan speeds, and standby with full crash and my fan speeds!!!

Hey there. Long time no see! I've been happily enjoying each new beta. Nice work! I got a new video card (x850xt pe) and so now I'm busily trying to find my max gpu and mem speeds again.

Here's a little bug: if you specify a clock safety range and then run Find Max GPU or Mem and it get's to the point where it wants to lower the clock or mem below what you specified in the safety range, then the form gets stuck in a infinite loop. I say "form" because you can see the form flashing as if it's trying to lower the slider below the bottom limit but can't and keeps retrying.

does the 9200 just not have a sensor for temp monitoring?

Hi. I just recently got a Powercolor x800xl. I can't get a temp read with the latest stable version or this beta build. This is the PCI-E one and it has dual DVI. Not sure if that helps (can't remember if they had 2 versions of this card). Chip is the R430. Thanks.

Just curious. Recently upgraded from normal release 0.22 to latest beta, and notice that all seems the same except in the 3d view/render window previously (0.22) avg'ed around 230 fps now with latest beta (0.24 beta 9 I believe) with same clock speed settings, etc the avg fps in the 3d window is approx. 150-160 in game performance seems the same, but just curious if this is actually performing as it was or if for some reason with the newer version of the tool it's not performing as well on teh beta as on the normal release. I have a softmodded 9800SE@Pro 256bit 8 pipelines clocked at 400/368. thanks for any ideas/advice/info.

the fps counter is not designed as benchmark .. if can give you a rough idea of performance change on your system with the same version, during an oc run for example

Sag mal kann das sein, dass sich die GPU der Asus X800XL im Spiel nur um 5 Grad erhöht? Habe normal 51 und im Spiel höchstens 56 grad. Allerdings steigt die Temperatur von temp. chip von 37 auf 55 Grad.

i know you said it was working for you, i have that card and the reason it does that.

if you upgrade from an older (0.22 or lower) ATI tool to the newer one, temp monitoring and fan control tabs dont always appear, you need to not save OC settings/profiles and do a clean install and all will go well.

I have CLUB3D X800 pro vivo (moded 16 pipes, working), CCC 5.4.
When i want to scan for artifacts @ 523/523 clocks, the clocks jumps to 548/548? The CCC says the same 548/548. While writing this post at the first time and scanning AF and trying to verify the clocks with Everest 1.51 the machine crashed...

I used before CCC 5.4, 5.4 Omega drivers and ati tool 0.24b9, that combination was the best so far (3DMark05 6142pts, and smooth games @ 524/524) BUT IT WORKED COUPLE OF DAYS untill TOTAL CRASH. Re install windows was a MUST.

So im shiftin back to an older ati tool..

I’m getting memory artifacts when using version 0.24b9 clocking my X800 XT to 520/560. This was never a problem with version .22. 3D mark 03/05, Aquamark and Doom all ran flawlessly. Top over clock was 542/563 stable :p . Starting with version .23 top memory over clock was about 540 and the artifacts were visible in Doom3 at times. I haven’t played Doom yet with the new version to see if artifacts are visible and will get back to you. I took a quick look at the memory settings in version .22 before uninstalling and the timings looked like they may be different. I didn’t write them down so I can’t be positive sorry. I’m using ATI 5.3 Cat at the moment no CCC. BTW core OC is still 542 :D

0.0.23 and 0.24 beta use an improved stress test for more heat.. try with "use old scanning method" in the scanning if that gives you the results of 0.0.22

if you see artifacts in doom at lower speeds than before you might want to check your case airflow, and ambient temperature (hey it's getting summer)

I got my self the sapp x850xt.pe.. and have been useing the latest beta ati tool . the fans are working fine but if i click to go to the memory settings it is all just coobligash.. and the tool locks up and i get error report for microsoft.. any ideas.. :)

I have the Standby problem with the latest Beta. Computer goes into Standby without a problem but will not wake up. Even if left for over an hour, it still will not wake up. I get some hard drive activity but nothing else.

Gone back to 23 until this is fixed.

anyone noticed when you installl the ati beta tool version .0.24.9 ,that after a couple of rboots the overdrive stops showing up in the 5.4 ccc..? or is it just my system anyone else? :)...
sys specs sapphire x850xt-pe ps. the new omega 5.4 wont work at all on my card they wont even install... any one else had this and they messed my registery up but sorted it with bkup???? :eek:

hello i was wondering...i use ati tool a long time now and i like it but there is only one thing that anoise me. Everytime that i reboot or start my comp i have to adjust the clockfreqs that i want my card to run at over and over again. My question is why isn't it possible to save the preffered settings also after rebooting? I would like that very much can anybody help me on this??

First Step:
You must create a profil: Select core and mem-clock you want, klick set clock, then klick on new and type in a name for your new profile.

Second Step:
Klick on settings, choose Statup in the dropdown-list, enable "Every time ATITool is launched, load profile:" and select your created profil.

Now every time ATITool is launched, your profile with your saved settings will be loaded.
