Just something I want to add....WHY HAVENT WE STICKIED WALLPAPERS YET??????....just seems like we get alot of random posts about wallpapers, and there is no single place to go and find them later! IDK may just be silly ,but i think a nice addition possible with a wallpaper heading???????

Yeah, using up an extra ~3MB of memory REALLY hogs things.
It's just aesthetics. Just like everything else. Everybody wants a beautiful car, but when are you ever really going to sit and stare at it? For me, I'd rather have a driver's car than a beautiful car, but it doesn't mean I'm not a vain son-of-a-gun heh

actully, the ammount of RAM it takes is how big the pic is. for example. i have a pic thats about 6MB, so that would be how much RAM i need for the background.

:D Where the pic is taken is just off of the main city center's CBD open air "mall" and on the right hand side of the pic is Newcastle's main post office lol, Oh and just next to the post office on the other side of the train tracks is one of the harbour side pub/night clubs.

The grey archway awning things have only been installed in the last year or so, without them the photo would just look shit. I gather that's what the photographer realized, they were installed as part of a council "program" for having outdoor markets/stalls on the weekends, that lasted all of about a couple of months then died out :laugh:

Anyway that's enough history and trivia about that pic and my home, might keep an eye out in future for photographers and see if I can get in the background at the Brewery (pub) :toast:

Looks awesome! I personally would limit the transparancy on the face and right side of the guy (you?). If you want to keep the transparancy, I would at least turn it down a bit on the face. I don't like how it's see-through. Other than that, I like it!

Edit: If you're going ghost-like make the majority of the body ghost like, or fade the "ghostiness" from one side to the other. Face and arm combo looks weird IMO.

I want your guys' opinions.

A. Have the taskbar at the bottom, taking up less screen space and looking neater?
B. Have it on the right side, using a tiny bit more screen space, but being what I'm used to?

A. Have Large icons
B. Have Medium icons

the mac thing on my desktop is RocketDock. Fantastic program ;)

use classic icons, have the taskbar on top, and use the rocket dock. i usually have things i use every day on it, and right click > hide icons.

1) C - Have it at the top. It will be about in height of your eyes and much easyer to work with.
2) D - No icons on desktop
3) C - Pin your most used apps to start menu. You can access them faster than having shortcuts on desktop. F.e. you are surfing over teh internets with full screen browser. With apps pinned to start menu, you don't need to minimize browser to access them ;)
