Thinking about selling or trading my striker extreme.

I am thinking somewhere around 250-300

or a trade for another high end 775 board.

I want to see what else is out there, but really dont have the cash to buy it first.

To be completely honest with you... its a great OC board with... with an a ridiculous amounts of options.... but it does have its issues. It can be "finicky" at times. But I am overclocking my 6600 to 3.6 and higher, so it is to be expected.

What kind of board are you thinking of, I can't think of a higher-end board? So maybe a Asus P5b- Deluxe?

is it cause of the burning ddr modules?

I think he thinks you've got DDR, Chang, he hasn't. I think he was confused as he couldn't see any other reason for selling, lol.

hell... I might be selling the whole system and start over.

Dunno, we will see.

Anyone interested in making a SERIOUS offer on anything? I may be willing to part out

woops, i meant ram modules (i was too lazy to type ddr2) all the stories about the board killing ram modules, espically high end ones.

which route, wait are you thinking about the r600 route? if so ALL FOR IT and a 975x based chipset, it'd be one rocking system, espically if you could afford crossfire. oh and how long have you had the board and ram for? i think it takes 3 monthes if you overclock the ram (run at higher than stock voltages, or is it just it happens?)

I have had the board for 6 months and the ram for about 2.

What exactly happens?

[QUOTE=d44ve;336413]I have had the board for 6 months and the ram for about 2.

let me find that story...http://www.maximumpc.com/article/who_s_killing_your_ram it says 2.4 volts, but idk if that's totally true. that and the whole memory probelm has been alot more pronounced on 680i than other chipsets.

Interesting... I will have to keep and eye on that. I do however have good cooling on the memory.

Thanks for the heads up!
