Surveillance Equipment - PC

My mom owns a clothing store and is looking into a computer based surveillance system. We have 4 camera's installed and the taping unit died on us about a month ago. We need to get this system back online. She wants the new system to be computer based, as it is easier to service and index vs time lapse tape. Anyone where have knowledge with these systems?

You would need something similar to this (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2984824&Tab=7&NoMapp=0). I can't vouch for the quality of that product since I've never owned anything made by that manufacturer, but it should work fine.

its pretty good, it can contact you in numerous of ways (text message, email..etc) if it detects something, and you can watch and control feed from a remote computer.
