Hello all,
I just recently purchased a 74GB WD Raptor and I am attempting to set it up with my Windows Vista Home Premium. I used another support site to finally figure out how to make it recognize my Raptor but now after being installed on the drive it fails to boot. It just sits there after completing the BIOS screen it gets to "Updating ......." (I forgot the exact phrase but I assume you guys know what I'm talking about) and it never boots into windows. The only way that I managed to have it working was to have another copy of windows installed on one of my IDE drives and then just selecting the copy installed on my Raptor as the primary boot. As soon as I formatted the partition on my IDE drive with Vista on it, I am no longer able to get into windows.....It's mystifying to me, any ideas?

Abit AN8 SLi
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
