At stock my processor runs at 3ghz. I am just under 3.2ghz now.
Here's a screen shot:

I am idling around 53C.

I am going to try and run 3dmark06 now.

Good on you! Are you using the stock cooler - because your temps are quite high. I suggest getting a AC Cooling 64 pro if you are. With my AC 64 pro I idle at more like 30. I get 50 after about 5 hours with folding@home while orthos is also running (I stress test whenever i run folding - just in case something is awry)

Yes. My CPU cooler is at stock. Do you think it is running at a safe temp? or should I try and lower them.

I am waiting to get paid before I buy a good cooler.

The AC 64 pro is a fine cooler and you won't have to wait until you get paid (it's about £11 --> $22)
And yes, those temps really are too high. That thing must go well above 60 on load - which is not good for Athlon X2's.

I would suggest keeping your 6000+ at stock until you get a better cooler, its also the 125w version so its gonna put out alot of heat

Ok, I am running at stock again.

Man, that was fun!

I will be ordering an Arctic Cooling 64 Pro soon (and a couple more case fans.)

I am glad that I took the time to figure out how to successfully OC. I'm addicted. :rockout:

After you get some decent cooling,

Lower that HT link to x4 and bump your ram down to 333.

Then take your CPU FSB straight to 250. That will put your HT @ 1000 (stock), your RAM at 400 (stock), and your CPU @ 3.75

re-post when your ready to soup that biznitch up lol

There's no way that thing can reach 3.75. I reckon 3.4 will be your absolute max on that motherboard (if that).
