Any recommendations will be welcome. I mean any at all.
1. Everyone chime in what the best 8800GTS card for the money.
2. What power supply needed to run it.
3. Will it fit in a Centurion 5 case.
4. Will be running 1024*768 or 1240*1024. Recommend me a card.
System new build 2gb DDR PC3200
ECS board with ATIx200 Chipset would running a nivida cause any weird problems
160 SATA SeaGate
3800 AMD 939 Processor (Yes it weak but better than my 3500)
DVD burner Memorex burner
17 Samsung LCD
WINDOWS XP Pro for now.

Get the cheapest one for running at your resolutions. A 320MB variant. And, yes it will fit in your case. I advise a 500Watt quality PSU. (Seasonic/Enermax/Antec/Hiper/Coolermaster/Corsair/Tagan/Thermaltake)
No problems would be caused by your chipset.

No, running an nvidia card would not cause any problems,on an ati board i know from person experience.
I personally would go for a bfgtech they are the best company who supports nvidia, best customer support/lifetime warranty, i had like 4 7800 gtx's die and they replaced all free, plus i didnt need to register or anything or have reciept or tell them where i bought it like E-VGA.

bfgtech 8800 GTS 640 mb^389$ im probley gonna buy one soon.
the 320 mb sucks even at 1280x1024, definitly go for 640 mb.

I'd rather go for eVga... mine hasn't had any problems so far and it provides lifetime warranty and a step up program.

all the cards are virtually identical, however evga use a slightly different heatsink on their o/c cards, but the main difference between manufacturers is the warranty on offer, as athlon64 said bfg have a lifetime warranty, as do evga and i THINK xfx do as well

XFX/EVGA require you to register to get a lifetime warranty, and it's only good for original owner, and the lifetime warranty is only supported by evga/xfx if you actually bought it from an e-tailer/store...if you bought an evga product off ebay it doesnt support their lifetime warranty.
you can sell your bfgtech card to anyone, or buy it from ebay or anywhere anyone and it will always have lifetime warranty good for current owner, even if not original plus no registering, call them it broke, they give you rma number, you send it in they give you another lol.

I still prefer evga as they have a clean looking heatsink, as well as warranty even if you overclocked it (with certain restrictions). XFX is the best if you're looking for the fastest clocked cards (usually)... I've never had any experience with BFG so I can't comment on them.

There very little, if any, difference at resolutions under 1600x1200; anything higher than that, the 320 trails behind the 640mb version by a mere 5-10fps. IMO the 640mb is a waste of money; either you get the 320mb version and save some cash or splurge and get the GTX.
edit: Yes, I know you can overclock it yourself. Other people however, do not want to, or can not overclock, which is why XFX is the best if you're looking for the fastest nVidia cards out of the box.

Welcome.
My uncle runs a BFG 8800GTS 320MB with an AM2 5200+ and 2GB DDR533, and he maxes every game he has, including F.E.A.R. and Battlefield 2142. I've seen him play, the frames are smooth and image quality is fantastic.

sounds like a bit of a fanboy to me, if not a troll. How can a video card that came out 2 years after some other video card possibly be slower? Did you cool the x1800 with liquid nitro while you overclocked 500MHz and underclock the 8800?

Ummm, it's called bought an 6800 GT 399$ from compusa in like 2004, got like step up plan thingy, then in 2005 before step up plan ended, i traded in 6800 GT for the x1800xt 512 mb, the 400$ i paid for 6800 GT went towards x1800xt, and the x1800xt was 599$ so i got to use6800 gt for a year and and got an x1800xt 512 mb for 600$ basically. lol.
but, ati released these performance edition bios, just flash it and clocks would be at 700/1600 it would score like 48 fps at that, plus it had alot more overclocking headroom.
So I see.. you overclocked it to 700/1600. Were you using liquid nitro or some other crazy cooling? The new Radeon HD 2900XT runs at 750/1650 and was released under a month ago... I don't see how an x1800 can get that high without some serious overvolting (which must have been done in the BIOS flash).

No, not overclocked, because that became the standard clocks for x1800xt pretty much, the most highend model ati doesnt allow overclocks.
700/1600 was with stock cooler, i think gpu volts was like 1.450.
the x1800xtpe 512mb was neck and neck with an 7900 GTX 512 mb pretty much.
x1800xt beat it in some games, gtx beat it in others.
