I'm here selling my Sony Vaio and I need to knwo how much I should sell it for. The Stats are as follows:

1.5 GHz Pentium M Centrino Processor
512Mb of RAM
15.4" X-Brite widescreen
4x DVD-RW Drive
Windows XP Pro SP2
64Mb ATi Mobility Radeon 9200

And I'm including Macromedia Suite (Flash MX, Freehand, etc...), as well as Adobe CS3 Suite, and Windows Vista Business, if the user wants it. I might also thrown in Tune Up Utilities 2007.

I want to sell this on Craigslist or on a forum or something.

It's also in good condition, no cracks, scratches on the screen, dents. Just one small mark like about a half inch on the perimeter of the laptop where the paint had rubbed off. I have pictures also I might post up

i would say its worth about $350 usd. the 9200 really throws it off though. if i were you i would
*boot n' nuke the hdd
*reinstall windows/drivers ONLY
*burn the installer files for the other software on a cd

nobody likes getting a laptop with all sorts of stuff on it. when you give the cd liek that, it gives the user a choice.

Hey, here's an idea.

Ship it to me.

Then you won't have to worry about that laptop anymore .

Okay, seriously now. I'm a little interested in that laptop. Tell me a price you're willing to sell it for, where you live, and we might be able to work something out :).

boot n nuke is a live disk, that you boot from. it erases your hdd COMPLETELY. that way, you dont have to worry about the next guy in line pulling your personal data off of it.

what i would recommend isfor you to boot for mthe disk, and run it over night. put the laptop up between 2 blocks for cooling, plug it in, and just let it go over night, or for about 12 hours. that basically garentees that your data is unrecoverable to someone who does have high powered forensics quality recovering software.

yes.

download BAN here:
http://dban.sourceforge.net/

then use ISO recorder (google it) and burn it to a disk. then, boot the pc up, and put the disk in.
then turn the computer off and start it again. if the computer doesn't boot form the disk, the post back here.

ram= no. the standard today is 1gb (1024mb)
GFX= no. not DX9 compatible, not upgradeable
screen= ok
optical drive= too slow. it is writtabe so that is a good thing though.
