Do you have AGP or PCI-express?

Well, according to this link (http://www.microsoft.com/games/fable/support.aspx) if you were to get an X800 series card or a higher end 9 series ATI card, you should be good to go! :toast: And you should be able to nab one for cheap nowadays! I am assuming that this is the motherboard (http://cgi.ebay.com/DELL-DIMENSION-8200-MOTHER-BOARD-1T751_W0QQitemZ150126781538QQcmdZViewItem) that you have.

Well, I know that my old Radeon 9200 ran it perfectly, so I suppose anything better than that (and even prior to that) is fine.
How much are you willing to spend?

The below video cards are the cheapest cards that should play most your games on medium for about a year, assuming that the rest of your system is moderately spec'ed. Please post your full specification
1650 PRO/XT
1800 GTO
1950XT (recommended)
Nvidia
6600 GT
6800GT
7600 GT/GTS (recommended)
7900 GT/GTS (recommended)
8600 & 8500 GT/GTS (supports DX 10)(recommended)

yeah probably...But I dont want to get his hopes up, because his system is probably old, he still has an AGP slot:roll:

Suppose, but suppose the system is 3/4 years old, we can assume the CPU and Ram will bottleneck the system, so max performance from a new graphics card will not be achieved. However, I feel that fable should play easily with just the card upgrade, however newever and more intensive games will be a big problem.
X1950 Pro/XT for AGP is probably the best way to go.
But the HD 2600XT cards may also be AGP when they come out this month. So u may want to wait.

If it's that old, and AGP I'd go with the 6600gt...then save to get a newer system.

Specs suggest it's either a left over 6800LE core, or whatever 6800 had just 8/12 pps, with half the mem bandwidth, and abysmal speeds for core and memory
Still, better than on-board graphics, and nice price.
Go with anything above a GeForce 6x00 series card, or above a Radeon 9800, they're all fairly cheap now, and should handle Fable, letting you get enough spare cash for a new build, or another upgrade.
