I'm partial to these (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124010). You can download third party firmware that adds a lot of features. Including boosting broadcast power, which you might like considering your situation.

There are actually several brands that you can update to a 3rd party firmware. I did it with my Linksys WRT54G, but you can see which brands are compatible with the firmware at their website DD-WRT (http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/index.php).
I really like the Linksys WRT54G. I haven't had any problems with it and as far as routers go, it is relatively inexpensive. I wouldn't go any cheaper than it however. I also own a Belkin router that I paid $34 for, and it is really unpleasant. The Linksys WRT54G usually runs somewhere in the $50 Range.

D-Link DGL-4300, 108g wireless, 4 gigabit ports, gamefuel... can't go wrong here:toast:

That's a beastly router. If you have $100 to spend on one. Gigabit LAN would be rather nice. D-Link makes nice routers.
