Yup. The stock intel cooler looks boring. I cant help thinking the design of its HS tho is somewhat of a beast waiting to be unleashed. I've already lapped the base of the HS to expose pure copper, I've got some screws and bolts for a somewhat more gentlemanly approach vs the zipties for attaching the cooler, the thing now is to find a nice fan to slap on the HS.. perhaps I can use the fan from my freezer 64 Pro somehow. Any ideas post em here.

well you could use the square ziploc (or another brand) fruit container, mount a 120mm fan there to make it an efective shroud and lose minimal amount of airflow.

Good idea, but I dont need anything quite like that, I have a monster 120mm fan right on top of the CPU fan doing its exhausting duties. I just need something which will throw a decent amount of air over the HS, look pretty and be neat and tidy. I'm not 100% sure but doesnt the stock intel fan only throw something like 23cfm over the HS @ 100%?
