ie wmp and msn not working after upgrade

for some reason my ie isnt working right and i cant get to the windows update site as it just says done with a blank screen and my msn dosnt sign in it just says try again later and my wmp does load up at all? anyone got any ideas why this has happened?

Try "System Restore" and select the most recent date before today. If that doesn't do it than you may just be having local ISP issues.

thats the thing firefox is working fine and so is my bitlord?

might be silly but this is the only time i have setup a restore point b4 i did it about a month ago, i take it will not delete any data i already have jus change the setting of windows back to what they were a month ago?

Windows normally does some automatic restore points every few days - unless you disabled that.

system restore wont open now either? i have run norton winchecker and its fixed any problem but i still have the same problems, it only seems to be with microsoft products too which is interesting and i cant check for updates some im stumped?

Pretty stumped here too - you haven't tried playing about with any Windows services have you? Sounds like a repair install might be your best hope, but I haven't ever tried one of those myself.

yeh im going to try that and then if no its going to be another format again!! just when i get everything setup right windows goes nuts!! just hope it doesnt happen again
