I have a 7300gs (see ss) and i have it at core 658 and mem 683, i know it's not a bad clock for the mem as it's 450 stock. So is this a good clock for this card?

sure man, a good clock is as far as you're individual card is capable of going lol
unless you add different cooling or something
I'd personally say that's a good clock since I've oc'd a PNY 7300 gs 256mb and I don't think I got it that high

hey I just wanted to do a bit of a follow up for ya man:
I used ATITool 0.26 and got her PNY 7300 GS 256mb DDR2
from: 550mhz Core/532mhz Mem
to : 625mhz Core/732mhz Mem
the memory just kept going it was great!
I was having lots of single pixel artifacts with the core so I stopped
that is the stable OC btw, artifacts began about 10-15 mhz above that

nice, i ran the artifact scanner and i had to back off a bit, so not quite as much as i said in post #1

yeah I don't like to have even a single pixel artifact, it's not worth it cause if you're in a game and crash it's just so annoying lol
so what are the stock clock speeds on yours?
oh and I wanted to say I avg 51 FPS on the 3D view of ATITool without OC and it's up to 72 FPS with the OC! that's pretty good to me, let me know what yours is like (you have to close 3D view between each for it to reset the avg FPS then just let it sit for a couple mins to get a good avg)

well, my default speeds are 550mem 532 core, it's avg non oc 35fps

now when i clock it to 650mem 632 core i get only about 10 more fps.

I think this card just doesn't clock to well!

that's really weird that you'd be getting such lower FPS readings than me... you're using version 0.26 of atitool right?

yuppers, v0.26

that sucks bro I don't know what to tell ya, and your system as a whole is tons better...I just have like 1.5gb single channel ram and an A64 3400+ single core running in it...

it isn't that big a deal to me, i plan to buy something far better in the near future!

talk to anticlutch at http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=28331 he'd probably give you a good deal on his ASUS X1950Pro as long as he hasn't sold it yet, I'd jump on that, I almost bought it but without having a system to put it in I didn't think it would be worth getting to just sit around til I build one...
