which VGC is moe beda

posted the other day if a Ge Force 7600GS 512ddr2 was worth it for the money,.
also saw a 7800GS 256ddr3 today for the same price. What is the dif in performance between the two for gaming? one is a higher GPU series the other has more (though older)memery?
I'm limited limited to AGP and $150, (I also like nvidia) so please don't sugest a new rig or the GTX 14000 wiz bang with super tweek tecnology for $1K. Not in the budget!

You could probably find a X1950GT card for around $150, it'll easily outperform either of the cards you mentioned.

Well either an x1950 series in AGP or the 7800gs agp, when the 7800gs was released a couple years ago for agp it was the best agp card. The x1950 is better, but more expensive. The 7600 isn't that good for gaming beyond lower resolutions (1024x768, low to med AA/AF settings)...the 7800 is way better than a 7600.
