hi, im new here but i jsut realized that vista is running ALOT of files (about 40 or 50) i have a dual core processor, and 1gb of ram (getting more soon) but i was wondering if there is a list or a link to a reliable guide or whatever of the services you DO NOT NEED? my pc feels slow to me :(

First, what's in your computer? Specs please, and what version of Vista?

Video Card: ATI Radeon x1900xtx 512 mb

Case: Xion something -_-
Sound Card: Xfi platinum
PSU: 550 watts
and i have the ultimate version.

Wow, only 1GB of memory? On which hard drive is Windows installed?

Put Windows on the Raptor. It has much better seek times.
And you'll want more RAM for Ultimate. Definitely.

im getting a few new things at the end of summer or near october and 2gb of ram is in it =]
are there any ways to transfer vista (or any operating system) to another hard drive without having to reinstall it? >.>

I don't know much about actually doing it, but there are programs you can use to image the hard drive or Windows installation. Norton Ghost, for example.
