Thats the full version of windows XP home its like the low end version of XP so its hardly worth any think any more you can pick you windows XP MCE for like £100 now vista out big price drop

well im building a pc for a mate u see so im trying to keep the costs down so this will install windows xp and its cheap! :)

Xp Home works quite well for lot's of people. Advanced users should go for MCE/Pro.

It's OEM copy, so you need to purchase it with new PC.

well im useing my old set up (amd athlon 64 4000+, ram, mobo ect) so all i got to get is a hdd and a dvd-rw drive and the windows then i can format the hdd and install windows.

well thats my plan lol :laugh:

Any versions of Windows in the retail channel are full versions.

Naw, OEM just means his m8 can't call M$ for tech support. Whoever builds the PC the OEM key is used on is responsible for software support.

I'm fairly sure that's at least one of the differences. I buy OEM all the time b/c I've never had to call ms (except to activate) for tech support

That drive reads and burns dvd's AND cd's...decent price too (if conversion to $$ is ~1.5)

o ok i would just download it from the net a crack it iv never brought windows iv always got it from a mate and cracked it

At my college, I can purchase Windows XP SP2 for $11 b/c of their site license! Yay!
