Just wanted to know people's experiences in RMAing their PC part (Mobo, CPU, Video Card, RAM etc etc).
Which company/companies were nice to work with and bad to deal with?
I have good experience with Biostar USA. I bought an open box Tforce-s754 mobo from newegg and turned out to be a nightmare. Did whatever I can to make that damn thing work. Sent emails to Biostar with no response. Finally SpoonMuffin, one of TPU members helped me by giving the right contact number and extension. Voila, talked to a rep and I feel their support is A+ class. Sometimes the rep picks up the phone other times I leave a message and within 30 minutes I get a call to answer my questions. Anyway I RMAd my board and waiting for the replacement.
MSI was also easy to deal with. Similar problem but they created the RMA to replace the Mobo.
Kingston is ultimate. 24x7 support. Most of the questions answered.
AMD support A+. Most people complain about CPU warranty and claim. But they were courteous. Turned out my CPU was not bad. So didn't get a chance to use the RMA.
Oh I forgot to mention ECS. They are good with Email support. Generally next day.
ATI - crap, they never answer the phone nor their emails. Even spent about 30 minutes on hold dialing a Canadian number from US and paying long distance charges.
Post your experiences.

HP/Compaq has been superb with me for my needs. Either within 15 mins via email or on the phone right away. Bellsouth, the new AT&T, is also superb. GSkill was also very friendly to help me in my memory needs as well as newegg. All A+++++support.

Thats good to know. I wanted to buy the Sapphire 1950GT AGP card from newegg. But debating should I stop here with AGP and jump onto PCIE wagon. My PC is pretty new and it is only 5 months old with AMD 3800 X2 @ 2.6Ghz with HIS X1600 PRO 256 MB.

Crucial.
I've also had great experiences with Apple.. but I'm sure many will say otherwise.. they go through so many, I'm sure XD
DFI was decent, but that was a looong time ago. I think they paid my shipping both ways so thats +2 points.
Asus took forever, but it arrived.
I think I had to deal with Abit once but I don't remember.
AMD was good.
Chaintech was a waste of time.

Not a PC part company, but newegg rocks.
1. You dont lose your receipt
2. You dont have to return in the exact same box
3. Some items have a long return policy
4. Never asks questions unless really suspicious situation
5. If they dont carry it anymore you can get a similar item they specify or get your money back :)

OCZ is the great. I called them for an RMA number, they picked up after the first ring.

Got a 'NEW' replacement board from Biostar which is a later revision and works good. It still has 2 issues. Built-in Video doesn't work. But I am using a PCI-E card. Ram is always set at DDR 333 speed no matter what speed I set. Updated with the latest bios still didn't help. But when I turn up the FSB the RAM speed also goes up. Right now at 243 * 11 at 1.55V (A64 3200)
They shipped the board in 6 business days and got it on the 7 day. Good work.

Kingston is great indeed, they handled my RMA within a week while the store didn't even respond to e-mail.
Epox used to be great, sending my new caps for free for a board that was several years past warranty. (they knew that)
Asus is a piece of crap, they had me wait ~6 weeks twice and even lost my board. Besides that communication is a joke with them.
Seagate works nicely too, fully automated, no need to talk to people. (Maxtor before this wasn't bad either)
Supermicro is great too, easily replaces stuff, even lets you visit the repair center and they'll test your stuff for you.

Viewsonic. Sends out new monitors before they recieve the old ones. Never let me down, even out of warranty. I own 6 of thier monitors at my business

In my general experience to date :
MSI : A+ | RMA'ed an old Radeon 9800 PRO/XT roughly 4-5 months ago and replaced, no questions asked. RMA process was simple and straight forward. Took a total of less than 2 weeks from initial contact to receiving new replacement in the mail!!!|
Crucial : A- | Contacted via email and response time took roughly 48 hours per. RMA process was also simple and fairly straight forward, no complications experienced! Once RMA was confirmed and memory sent out, took roughly just over a week total to get back a brand new replacement stick!!! Probably a grand total of two and a half weeks overall from start to finish. |
Mushkin : D- | Contacted for an RMA of a couple week old Mushkin Enhanced Level One Black DDR500 memory purchased from newegg.com and did not get a reply. Contacted several more times and finaly received an automated response that ultimately lead nowhere. Never was able to get the bad stick of memory replaced. |
Theres a few others but those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head!

I have sent items back to Hiper, DFI and Asetek and did not have a problem with any of them all replaced the product with new ones in a respectable amount of time, I do have to say that Asetek was the quickest no postage charges and they sent it from Belgium to the UK.

And forgot to mention Western Digital. I mostly buy WD drives. Once I fried 2 drives, brand new 80G and a 40G. I was replacing the power supply and didn't discharge static, boom both drives gone with all my photos, music, windows xp etc. It even had a burn't smell. I thought they won't replace it. Sent one by one over a span of 1 month, no questions asked they sent replacement ones. 80G was replaced with a brand new one. 40G with a refurbished one. Both are running for 2 years now, knock on wood. I had a whiny 120GB that was nearing completion of warranty period. Sent it and got a 160GB as replacement. Free 40GB.:D

DFI are ok too
