View Full Version : Break in.

My car, and my house got broken into last night. My wife left the passenger door unlocked and the guy got in and stole my Pioneer head unit and 20 CD's. Then he broke into the house through the front door, with us home. At 3:00AM, and was walking down stairs. My wife woke me up saying it sounded like someone was in the house. So I get up see the front door open, and if it isn't locked with the deadbolt the wind can sometimes blow it open, the doorjamb needs repaired, but I fixed it IF the deadbolt is locked. So I close it and lock the door.

I turn around and see the light on in the stairway, and a guy walks up. I walk in and being blind like I am without my contacts I ask who he is and what the fuck he is doing. And I quote. "Nothin homie, I aint doin nuthin" At which time he shoves me back. I am 5'11" and 220 not really fat, he is about 6'1" ( or mebey the shoe-no shoe height difference) but is bigger than me. But I tackle him in the dining room and push his head to the floor about ready to step on his throat when he finally manages to push me off, get up and take two steps before I am on him again. I grab him and throw him onto our coffee table in the living room hoping it will break and I will be able to beat his ass with a broken leg of the table. It doesn't however and he manages to get up and push me back yet again and make it to the door. By this time he has dropped the Pioneer head unit, the CD's and I have pulled off his shirt and he is bleeding.

I get to the door as he is unlocking it and start punching him in the side, he manages to sissy cry and spin around, he gets the door open and runs like a motherfucker. I jump out the door only to realise I am in my boxers and yelling at him that if he wants a real ass beating to come back. He yells fuck you and runs off.

Cops come, fingerprints, take my stuff the was stealing for evidence, and ask that we come down today for fingerprints to isolate his from the car, doors, and lightswitches. He left a almost complete hand print and two clear fingerprints on the glass part of our coffee table and blood on the floor, table and head unit.

Fucking chicken pussy. :shadedshu

They haven't found him yet, but with the fingerprints, blood and palm print if he has been this stupid before he is going away for awhile. If not then I hope he tries it again, I could use some target practice, moving living breathing target practice.

Dude you should have been a lot more aggressive, but I understand it's hard to think in those kinds of circumstances. I would have punched him in the face not the side, then when he was down kick him in the face.

Sounds like he bit off more than he could chew though. Congrats on getting his fingerprints, theiving bastard deserves some jailtime. Hope he gets caught.

Sorry to hear about that though.

I am getting a nice 9mm with jacketed bullets when we get back. And the Louisville Slugger beside my bed now. For the longest time I had my hunting knife on my side between the mattresses till my wife complained enough that I removed it.

The cops were laughing that I should have beat his ass more, or better yet, kill him so there is no lawsuit about me shooting. stabbing him, or breaking his legs. I guess some old man shot a burglar in the head and blinded the guy, he sued the homeowner and won. Fucking retarded world we live in.

Steevo,...I am glad you and your family were not hurt.I wanted task you,...If you would have had a gun,...would you have used it?
At my old job,...I busted someone steeling. They broke in to the shop and it was pure coincidence that I was dropping off paperwork on my way home from HUNTING!
Yes,...I was heavily armed. To make a long story short,I ended up shooting a warning shot and held them,2 people, until the police arrived. It was the most frighting thing I have been through.
It was funny though because at first they had no idea I was armed,so one of them threatened me with a knife and started towards me.I let him get about 15 feet from me and then unloaded 3 rounds from a 45. automatic and they both hit the deck and started pleading with me to spare them:roll:It was the longest night in my life after that.It started at about 9:30pm and I got home from the police station at around 1:30am and never went to sleep due to the adrenaline rush.
Again, glad to hear you and yours made it thriugh and I really hope they catch the BASTARD.

Besides, in the retarded world we live in today, steevo would probably be in jail rather than be somewhere camping in the woods :p

In the old, old times people carried swords and if somebody came up to you and tried to rob them you cut them down.

More recently, me grandfather always said that alot of people in his time took guns to school. At recess they would go out and shoot. He could also carry around shotguns on his back and stuff... probably wouldn't get a second look.

Damn, glad you're alright.
In the UK, the whole "burglar sues over damages and wins" thing happens a lot. They were going to change the legislation on that, but AFAIK, they didn't, and you can't do anything you like to a burglar, apart from call the police, and hope they're not armed, otherwise you'll go to jail along with them.

Either way, I'd probably start throwing punches until the guy's down, deal with the police later. I'm a big guy overall (6'7" :p no joke, and about 130kg, no clue in lbs), so I should be able to take and give a few hits.

GJSNeptune

Here in America you're allowed to shoot someone if they're unwanted and enter your house.

1kg = 2.2lbs.
130kg is 286lbs.

Ripper3
06-29-2007, 04:03 PM
Yeah, I knew that was the case, and frankly, it should be like that globally. Especially if the person is armed, you've got a right to protect yourself, your home, and most importantly, your family. Even if that does mean killing someone. Not what everyone wants to do, but sometimes may be necesarry to ensure safety.

I suck tonight! lol

I thought a 12 gauge shotgun was bigger than an 18 gauge?

Hold on! You are correct :)

The gauge of a shotgun refers to how many lead spheres the diameter of the bore would equal a pound. In the case of a 12-gauge shotgun, it would take twelve spheres the size of the shotgun's bore to equal a pound. Counterintuitively, a numerically larger gauge indicates a smaller barrel: a 20-gauge shotgun requires more spheres to equal a pound, therefore its barrel is smaller than the 12 gauge.

Its funny how looking for gauge in wiki brings up the porn star before the gun barrel

As for calibre - that is related to inches/imperial system
When the barrel diameter is given in inches, the abbreviation "cal" is used in place of "inches". For example, a (smallbore) rifle with a diameter of 0.22 inch is a .22 cal; the decimal is dropped when spoken, so this would be called a "twenty-two caliber".

Now that I read it...Gauge seems like such an abstract measurement. I cant believe we measure distances by weight :p

Good job man! Sorry to hear this happened to you, but too many people get scared and do nothing, run, hide, etc. People forget that most individuals doing these kinds of crimes get a huge adrenaline rush when they are in the midst of a crime. This is also their weakness if you play your cards right, weapons/guns can add a different element, but if you don't stand up for your own, who will? When the cops show up, odds are the perp is long gone. You did the right thing, and considering the situation, I bet he won't be back.

I hate it when people disrepsect my stuff, let alone try to steal it, granted I'm only 5'9" and 195, but I'd do all I could in your same situation. The fight-or-flight comes into play, you get adrenaline pumping and don't feel pain, and just go for it. I'm glad you hurt him, too bad he got away, but I bet he has a history and would do anything to stay out of jail, except for break the law. I hope he gets caught with max sentence and you get to :nutkick: him before he goes to the slammer! :toast:
