I was on the internet today, and didn't have Avast on, and when i have it on nothing ever goes wrong, but i had it turned off because i turn it off for gaming, and forgot about turning it back off to get on the internet, and i got a pop up, and it gave me a virus or 2. Which those virus's should be gone no, i ran 2 virus scans, and it doesn't find nothing now.. I ran adware scans there good to.
Here is what is still on my taskbar though, and i can't exit it, when i click it takes me to an adware download program website. Any suggestions on what this is, and where it is coming from?

i know its just a screen shot of what it looks like and that might now help u much, but when i click it, it takes me to this site(http://www.spylocked.com/?aff=334)..to download spywarelocker or something..its not a virus its just windows giving warning me to download a program..but i no longer have stuff on my computer and it won't go away...
so can anybody help me out here?:wtf:

try out spybot-search & destroy.
oh I see, you have it.
well, go to the add/ remove programs, see if anything fishy is in there.
Clear cookies, cache etc (they can sometimes lurk in there).
type in run box msconfig, look for suspicious start-up proggies
show me your hijackthis log.
Read this aswell. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic85376.html

it's amazing how you could make a 640x480 png that's 1.5 MB in size.
as uncompressed RGB the file would be 921,600 bytes :)

Run Windows Defender. You'd be surprised at what it picks up.

I've seen these befor when I used Avast. I't a pain in the ass to get rid of. It inbeds itself int the boot menue of your OS. try running a system recovery from a time befor you got it, see if that helps. I also changed my anti virus to Prevx 2. http://www.download.com/Prevx2/3000-2239_4-10699286.html and between that and Ad-Aware 2007, have not had any thing hijack my rig sence. I'd sugjest uninstalling Avast try the free month Prevx, see if that will sove your problem.
