How much more can they improve monitors?

The first step would be to not use TN+Film panels :P

currently you need to buy a 24 inch lcd to get 1080p resolution, anything smaller and its 1050  which explains why the price is a huge diff

How much more can they improve monitors?

More and more until they match my 21" Sony Trinitron CRT or any other decent CRT (seriously not trying to brag). This monitor looks really nice and it's good to see the high contrast ratios and low response times, but they can be improved a lot more. The same goes with the sharpness and quality of colour. For example, when I was lanning on CnC 3 with my cousin, who has a Samsung 931C (one of the best LCDs, 2000:1 and 2ms) and he said, watch out for the purple team, but there was no purple team. I then realized when I looked back to my monitor that it was actually the blue team but the blues looked slightly purple on his screen. But all in all, I'm happy to see them continuously improve the LCD monitor and I hope they keep working hard to try and solve a lot of these problems.

Yeah that's another thing I didn't like, that and the web cam integration as well.

I read the title "Asus Offers " and i said what the heck they are giving away free monitors ?
Hahahahahahahahahaha :P
My bad my bad...
Samsung has the new 245BW i think 24 inch colour monitor released worldwide and the price is around 600$ so its quite a fair price...It may have a TN monitor but the Image Quality is excellent.

Looks nice and the color gamut looks like it would be nice. Personally, I like 5.1 speaker setups better, but the fact they included speakers and a subwoofer is a nice little surpise. You can choose to use them either way. The included web cam is pretty neat as well.

What is the cost of this monitor, anyone know?

Also, hard to see purple and blue confused but Ive seen worse <laugh>

Also, anyone else ever use any of ASUS' LCD monitors? Id like a rating or review on them if possible.

UVP is rumored to be 380€

camera and speaker would never be a matter of buying it, but i consider such things always as
little giveaways/extras. so not bad about this.

The Asus MW220U is quite a good 22" gamer tft, but u have to disable the 2ms "OC" as u get ghosting (unfortunately the monitor doesnt save this, and u have to do this everytime u turn it on).
It was my favourite to buy, but the day before buying it i read a HP w2207 review, now this one is standing on my desk, hopefully, the asus wont be superior in quality
(but it will be in pricing 4 sho, as i only paid 252€ for the hp)
