Logitech has officially hopped on board the High Definition bandwagon with their latest line of notebook-mounted webcams. The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and Logitech QuickCam Pro for notebooks can record video at an impressive 720p resolution at 30 frames per second. Both webcams use Carl Zeiss lenses, which help the cameras take extra sharp video/pictures. Standalone, the webcams can take 2MP pictures. Both webcams will be available in the UK soon for £49/$100.

I dont think microsoft cams have as good picture as logitech cams though. Logitech ftw
I have a Logitech QuickCam Ultra Vision > microsofts offering.. well at least better image quality due to better lens elc.

Video capture: Up to 960 x 720 pixels (HD quality) does that make it a 720p?

$135 in Canada but theses things go on sale for half price.. I paid 80+ taxes for my QuickCam Ultra Vision. 135can would be like $122usd.
I just read bad things about the new microsoft cams that the image was not as good as its supposed to be.

I agree with the Carl Zeiss lens argument, you can't beat them really..
And in my opinion that's dead cheap for a 720p camera. Now you can all see my pretty face.

Damn... this shows you how far behind I am when it comes to webcams.
I didnt even know they made an HD one, let alone a notebook mounting one for under 100.00
