World in Conflict is an RTS game that is set in 1988, where economic troubles, similar to the ones that occurred in real-life, cripple the Soviet Union to the extent where it must risk nuclear Armageddon to stay in power.
Massive Entertainment, Sierra and Intel invite you to join the open beta and find out what you are made of. Registration begins on 1 July and will be open until the end of the open beta phase. The open beta will begin on 11 July and will last until 31 July.

i highly RECOMMEND everyone to signup to get acess to "Open Beta"
i have playd the "Closed Beta" some weeks ago and that was AWESOME! :respect:

They would probably only limit country selections because of lag/server latencys and language issues :/

A lot of funny guys around here... But you are on the edge of offending someone, you know? But I guess you don't care... I am curious: all the guys mocking at me because I don't want to lie about my country... How old are you? Maybe you are used to lie all day long... Who knows...

I will pass this beta, even if it's free... For me is offending not founding my country there, ok? Any more comments on that?

nobodys mocking you as such, merely pointing out that they dont care about bending the truth to sign up for the beta, as for your country not being there, neither is america, its a BETA, not a demo, designed to be tested by a relatively small amount of people, probably due to the fact theres only a few u.k. based servers up at the moment (in comparison to the full game), jeez, the amount of times ive seen beta's of a game that are u.s. only

Yes, I know is a Beta not a demo... I was in the Beta for Test Drive Unlimited from the very begining (the closed beta) and there was no problem about the country... And I remained in the game ever since...

when they had "Closed Beta" they had like more than 20 US servers & more than 20 EU servers :respect:

well, the torrent finally came on today (it was supposed to be monday) and im getting between 9kB/s and 40kB/s and its a 1.6gb file, lovely, cheap bastards, why not just let gamershell or filefront (or even fileplanet ffs) host it, i get 800-850k from them, AAAAAAAAARSE!!!

they both link to the torrent im using, or an australian download thats even slower than the torrent

My download was averaging 150Kbps (I usually peak at 170-180 with my connection anyways), it was stable. I like the game so far, my best score was like 540, I usually get in the 300's or upper 200's average. I'm still grasping it, or maybe I just suck at it. But I like the game a lot!
