Ok, so I'm having trouble burning my ISO as a DVD.

Let me try my best to explain.

It is an ISO file, but when I extract it, it is the TS_Video and TS_Audio folders...

I am not familiar with TS_Video/Audio at all... I've tried burning the TS_Videos with Nero and I've tried burning it as an ISO with ISOMagic. Both didn't work but most likely I'm just missing something. :banghead:

Another thing, is when watch it from the hard drive, it has the menu where you can choose which part of the movie (two parts) sort of like a store bought movie would (This is a free documentary that I DL'ed via torrents to get a better quality version. Or you can watch it on google vids with low reso.) and I'd like to be able to keep that when I put it into a DVD player. Possible?

Sorry if this is "noob-ness" and all... But any help is appreciated.

You should be able to burn the video ts folder to a dvd with nero if that didn't work for some reason you could try making a dvd out of the unextracted iso file.

Thats what I always do if there's any problem with burning the iso directly.

I tried those.

Since the TS_Video is a folder, I had to drag the files inside the TS Folder into the "Content" part... And I didn't work; that way would have eliminated the Menu thing as well...

I tried burning the Un-extracted ISO with ISOMagic and it still did not work.

When you burn an ISO (image file) you need to select 'Burn Image' with NERO (this will create the DVD for you)

When burning an AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS type DVD, you need to open up 'NERO burning ROM' and select DVD-Video, pop the contents of the VIDEO_TS folder into the provided VIDEO_TS folder and hit 'BURN' ;)

I used to use RecordNow MAX or RecordNow DX, but they seem to have ended support for it :(

If you dont have NERO, I have a legit key you can have for it, all you would need to do is download the NERO 7 free trial ;)

Try it in a standard DVD player m8, some PS2's dont like backup copies ;) (sometimes due to media, Ritek discs were always the best IMHO)

Do you have sound for everything else atm? ie MP3 etc

PS: when you shrunk it with DVD Shrink, you didnt remove ALL of the audio tracks did you? I usually remove all, apart from English DD 5.1 ;)

Best way to burn an ISO

Install Nero

Right click on the ISO and say open with. Then browse and look for the Nero.exe in your program files. Click always do this action so that you never have to go look for it again.

Then the ISO burning screen with Nero will just open right up stick a blank DVD or CD in and hit burn.

I suggest you try shrinking the original DVD again and be sure to leave at least one English audio track (ie 2.0 or 5.1) just incase thats what went wrong :)

ah, Im with you now, well this is what I do when Im backing up my originals:

1) Install AnyDVD (set to region FREE & Macro FREE)

2) Use 'DVD Shrink' to shrink the DVD9 to a DVD5 (by removing unwanted extras, subtitles & audio tracks)

3) Burn the outputted AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS folders with NERO7 (well only the VIDEO_TS folder using NERO on DVD-VIDEO setting)

I think you will find this is quicker then the method your using because you are actually ripping the movie twice ;)

Nope, dont worry, some DVDs dont even have an AUDIO_TS folder. All your movies audio is in the VIDEO_TS folder aswell, strange isnt it lol

PS: the AUDIO_TS folder is always empty anyway ;)

PPS: the AUDIO_TS folder only contains data when used for DVD-Audio (ie music albums in DVD format) not DVD-Video (standard movies)
