IDE HDD LED Indicator

I just built a new computer and put in several SATA drives. When they are accessed no LED light shows. I'm sure that the front panel connector is in the proper place. Is it because the LED is an IDE HDD indicator? The MB is ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe if that is any help........

Agreed. Unlike switches, LEDs are polarized, meaning they only work when current flows one way through them. Flipping that connector around should fix this problem up lickity-split.
