I have a free desktop-recording program I downloaded called Camstudio.

I recorded me doing some stuff on my computer, (which I'd like to edit and upload to youtube).
After I finish recording, it saves the file to my desktop as an AVI format.

If I watch the movie, the quality is fine (I recorded at 10FPS at 1280x1024 resolution).
When I open it in windows movie maker, add it to the storyboard, edit it and save the move goes all weird. The colours of the movie go really bright tinges of green, orange and blue and the image is highly pixellated.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how to solve it?

Recomended that you record in a 4:3 aspect ratio when using Windows Movie Maker for playback. If not the image will end up distorted. If saved as a wmv not AVI... WMM knows to convert Camstudio to AVI, so if you saved it as a AVI than maybe it's trying to convert it??

Hmmm I have no idea.
It doesnt matter anymore because someone carelessly left a copy of Adobe Premier in google.
