I want to treat myself to a gaming mouse. Was considering the Logitech MX518. Any comments or recommendations?

whats your budget.. do you have small hands or big ones? razor makes good smaller gaming mice, logitech have some great bigger gaming mouses.

I have the Logitech MX510 and i find it a great mouse for it's price. So the MX518 will be even better.

I have a Razer Diamondback, it's great!! My friend has a Razer Copperhead and it's really good too. Depends on the size of your hands and your budget mostly.

I dont advise you to go cordless for gaming, you might have the rare occasion where your mouse goes off the hook like mine did last night as I said in the thread I just made.

Razor/g5/mx518 for the win... try to get in a electronics store where you can feel the mice, I havent seen any carry Razor mine though.

I have the MX518 and I love it. Amazing mouse, but I'm looking at getting the new G5 later this year as my 518 is getting old.

the razer is nice cause i actually keep my hand above the mouse, the logitechs you grab to chunk at your monitor, the razer you hold as you are scared to anger its awesomeness

A quote from somewher eI was just reading.

both make solid performing mice. The difference between the two is the way you hold a mouse. If you palm it, go Logitech, if you use your fingers then go Razer.

Im more of a palmer but I may try fingertip... I think it will be better/faster.

thats what i like to hear lol ya it is faster, especially considering the copperhead is so light its already easy to move and the laser on it is so fast. its an amazing mouse

I think the new Razer DeathAdder will be awesome too! ;)

I just bought the OCZ gaming mouse. It is absolutely great. I find the Logitechs to be a little too large for my liking, and the Razers a little too small, this is right in between. Great glide, great tracking, a good "in-between" weight. (Not light, but not heavy.) Couldn't be happier with it.
