Can't get above 1024x768?!?!?!

:(Due to the lack of response in the BF2142 sticky, I will ask here...

I just installed Battlefied 2142 on my system and it will not let me go over 1024x768 in the video options. In my previous system with my x1950pro it would allow me to go up to 1400x1650. What gives? Please help me!!!!:(

That is interesting for sure! Can you do the command line force resolution that I've read of others doing in BF2/BF2142? I wonder if it's an 8800/NV issue or not...

Yes. I'm going to reinstall vid drivers just to make sure.

Have you tried a custom command line as suggested?

What is the highest resolution in the options? I'm using a widescreen, and I think I remember that 1440x1650 was in there?
are the asterisks for my info?

Ok Warlock, the command line worked, however I used 1680x1050 for my widescreen. It looks good for the most part, though the trees look very pixelated. I'm wondering why it won't go above 1024x768 in the options still. Is there a widescreen lower rez that I could use?

1440x900 is what my new 19" widescreen's resolution is...you may try that. I haven't recieved my widescreen yet, but am getting prepeared to make it work for me instead of fight me. So this thread may do me some good as I'm getting BF2142 shortly!

Well, I think I've found my first gripe with this 8800. It doesn't seem like 1440x900 is supported. In the 2142 manual it says that 7900's and such should get better resolutions. Not the 8800 wtf?

Well, EA has stated before that BF2142 or BF2 don't officially support wide screen resolutions, as this would give an edge to ppl with wide screen monitors over ppl with 4:3 monitors (a higher view arc angle), so I don't think your card is to blame, but the game itself :p

EDIT: One more thing, is your monitor being recognized by your OS? or more importantly, by your card's driver? Maybe that's the reason you can't increase your resolution to more than 1024x768.

When I used the command lines in BF2142 on my x1950Pro(R.I.P.) the trees looked pixelated but on my x800 the trees look fine.
