Full Auto 2: racing or not?

Is Full Auto 2 a racing game that you can blast out your opponents while racing like Mario Kart, Upshift StrikeRacer and Road Rash? or is it like Twisted Metal that has no racing involved but battling?

edit: plain car battling like Twisted Metal is not the only thing that I dont like.. I also dont like the type like Spy Hunter where we must do specific objective to go on. so is Full Auto straight up racing with chance to gun out your oponents like StrikeRacer and Mario Kart?

Mario Kart/StrikeRacer/Road Rash = Mainly Racing

Spy Hunter = Objective

Twisted Metal = plain car battling

I hope Full Auto is like Mario Kart/StrikeRacer/Road Rash.

According to the main site (http://www.sega.com/gamesite/fullauto2/index.html), it looks like a little bit of both (but mostly like Mario Kart in single player mode) :).

ive played full auto on 360 at a cousins and its racing u have to win the races to advance in career mode, the guns just help u knock out your opponents while ur going. Trust me it is one of the baddest games ive played if u like racing games with a little action ull love this. And hell no its nothingl ike twisted metal i hated that game.
