Found this, not sure if this is true or not but a good theory none the less ---

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A person from http://www.i4u.com spoke to a Crytek employee at E3.
That employee told that Crysis may have some problems with Vista, under some hardware configurations, so they have to
wait for release of new GPU drivers to work with them on game.
"Vista is not stable in some cases, connected with games, under some hardware configurations"-he said.

That person, from http://www.i4u.com, tells us that there are problems with
SLI 8800 Ultra under Vista: games unload after some time of playing.

Crytek has been waiting for more stable Vista GPU drivers, thats why game release
is being delayed (the same about MULTIPLAYER BETA).

Feldmarschal says:
You can count the source of information not truthful, but
this version of why Crysis release, and its MULTIPLAYER BETA release are being delayed, looks probable.
Vista is becoming more and more stable, GPUs are getting more and more stable drivers,
so there is a wish that Crysis will be released in 2007.

I haven't checked the links attatched yet, but hopefully it still comes out in September. :pimp:

Tell me about it ... I was watching a movie and ... BAM ... BSOD and auto restart, never happened before or since thankfully but weird.

SP1 should be out very soon, probablly next month. I'm still using XP and loving it, with the exception of slower network performance.

Nah I think the writing's on the wall. Crytek revealed Crysis too early and are now having to play DEADLINE DEADLINE! to stay afloat. They might put it out, but I bet it won't be as comfortable with it as they could have been, had they not buckled under the pressure from Nvidia to help promote their 8800 series through showing early versions of Crysis and what it was capable of with the g80.

Or that could be waaay off.

All you gotta do is say "Look, we're still waiting on Duke Nukem Forever for Pete sakes! It's done, when it's done!"

If he is talking about "hopes to release still in 2007" and this is remotely accurate I would guess it's optimistic to think that the game will be with us by September. When the game is released is when I will upgrade to vista, hopefully by then we will have SP1 for Vista and even better driver compatibility.

Aye, I'm a bit glad it's taking longer. I can just see the long line of complaints waiting to happen.
