View Full Version : Ubisoft Confirms FarCry 2

Ubisoft has officially confirmed the existence of FarCry 2 the sequel to a game every single gamer around the world got to love, others for it's awesome graphics at the time it was released and others because of the game's realistic atmosphere and physics.
The French publishing giant launched a teaser site for the shooter sequel this afternoon, which reveals little other than a seemingly Africa-ish setting, rather than the tropical island local of the first game. Going by the big PC Gamer logo plastered on the site we're assuming the sequel is headed to the PC while Crytek isnt involved with the title.

Awesome, been waiting years for this announcement, but Crytek won't be developing it I guess...

Im saying that they wont in the end.....I dont see how they could be developing crysis and farcry 2 at the same time....They can hardly finish Crysis :)

If i was Crytek i wouldnt sell my Crysis engine to Ubisoft thus making Far Cry 2 an even greater threat to Crysis sales.....

Why would Crytek care? They're getting huge money for their engine, and probably royalties or another lump sum for the Far Cry copyrights. The only companies who might/should care are Ubisoft and EA.

Its like Unreals Engine. They made a killing off that. Crytek should lease their engine to other companies. Hell of a way to make a profit.

i loved playing farcry! i even remember some parts giving me goosebumps. that game really had good graphics for the time ...played it using a Radeon 9500 Pro.

You are both right but i really have my doubts...Time will tell however :)
