BF2 and HD2600XT problems

for some unknow reason i can't play my favourite game on my new card
:cry:
as soon as i iniciate it, i get teh bf2 logo and, black screen, crash to windows
i'm using 1.0 version (i don't want to update for obvious reasons :p, and i doubt it would help)
so what can i do?
and who should i email at ati so they try too fix it (only happened after geting this card)

What you need to do is go to my docs and delete your BF2 folder. Then try to play BF2 again.

You had money to buy a new HD2600XT but you can't afford a $10-$20 USD game? :wtf: Since you already have the game, get your arse on eBay and buy a legit CD-Key for like $10 USD. You don't need to be in the US to get one as it's emailed to anyone, worldwide from the seller. I've bought a few keys this way and can vouche for this service. As a matter of fact, I went this route in order to play BF2142! I got my hands on a copy of BF2142 to try out and after I decided I liked it, I bought a $15 CD-Key and am now happily enjoying ranked/legit games! ;)

LoL, I still can't believe you use v1.0!!! Why not upgrade even if you aren't using a legit copy? I'm curious as to is holding you back to version 1.0? Just patch it to the latest version and download the BF2 mini disc image and use Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools to mount and play.

I know that much. What I want to know is can't he still do so even with the latest version? Whats the difference between version 1.0 and the newest 1.41 patch that would hold him back from playing on non legit servers ro whatever?

Don't know...I thought if he was logged in he was on their server.

i tryed to put 1.4 and a mini image and i couldn't enter in any server saying that the key was already in use ;)
i play on a cracked server, so no worrys

ps: they do have laws against, they just don't care much about them :p
