While the official release date for this game is still "when its done" retail web sites like EBGames (http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?cookie%5Ftest=1&product%5Fid=B647029A) have pushed back their ship date for the multiplayer shooter Enemy Territory: Quake Wars yet again. Previously posted as coming out on August 1, the new launch date for the Splash Damage-id Software-Activision title is now listed as September 3.

Played the beta and it sucked balls big style, over hyped crap that keeps being pushed back because it stinks something rotten. BF2 FTW even if it is over two years old it still kicks ETQW in the nether regions with brute force.:nutkick:

Agreed. Yeah, I didn't like the beta either. I played for about 1 hour, then got bored.

The local game store is taking pre-orders for £1.99. I might get it.

I never liked the direction the Quake games went.

It's turned into their version of Unreal Tournament. In fact, it feels like Tribes with a UT theme.

I'm not keen to see this game or play it, but it may just turn out to be another benchmark tool for me :)

Yep, I've been having a ball with it as well, very fun game (even though it's still in beta).

Will probably be next year before it comes out. I wonder if they are doing this is a DX10 game.
