Overlord PC question...

How do I use guardmarkers, pressing the designated buttons on the ps2 converted controller doesn't seem to do anything? Or maybe I'll be having that ability when I get farther into the game? Right now I've just completed the Food for Spree, will that function be available when I get other colored minions and farther into the game? Lol just curious Tnx:banghead:

I would think it will mate. I have the game also, just on PC that's all. It looks a bit of an odd one, but it doesn't seem bad and passes time. Quite original I think, sort of like Black and White but... Nicely different. In places, it's genuinely laugh-out-loud funny too.

it will work at any time
what ever color minions you have selected will guard near the position of where you pressed "q"
color of the minion will not make a difference here
the whole guard thing is a strategy element, nothing more

I'm playing the game using a controller, so if I stand on lets say a patch of grass with brown minions and pressed guard marker then they will guard the spot that I stood on? Will the overlord do an action or movement confirming that I did the guardmark thing?

yes, if you didn't move your minions the guard sign will be right at your position
but if you want it to be somewhere else, then use "complex path movement" (quickly press left and right mouse button and hold them), while holding both buttons move the minions by moving the mouse, when the minions are in the right position, press "q" or what ever the button on controller that you use... hope thats helps :)
its been a really long time since i was holding a controller in my hands, now it's just mouse and keyboard...

Thanks man, I figured it out, guardmarking will be available when you get to the part in melvins kitchen hehe it works like a charm, only 1 thing left to discover, example having 20 minions how would you do a guard mark of 10 minions left and 10 minions on the right, how do you split em.. well, you can place 20 of them on the first guard mark,
then (fast right mouse click) call them back by 1 until you have 10 of them,
then just guide them to the place where you want to make a second guard mark.

I have no idea how you found out about guard mark before that level, because i
didn't know about that button before :D

Awww, The tutor or the older imp who's guiding you told you to place reds on the far left side of the kitchen to fry the cooks :D he said to press the guard marker button lol

btw, If you want to know how to move bombs (ex: to open some doors) or change spells (F1-12) just ask me
because I myself spent plenty of time trying to figure it out

I love this game, in fact, I'm sure that I will replay it 2 or 3 years after :D
As you go on you gain more features like forging a weapons, armor, choosing a girl (:D), and deciding whether you want to be good or evil...

It's a good game tho, I was just confused because I used a Playstation controller not a Xbox lol, over all fun and replayable :D

Chose to be the good side, and kept the 1st girl, however on my 2nd time around I will be going on a town killing spree :nutkick: mwahahahaha time to become the Evil evil overlord,

yeah, I will do the same thing, I already finished the game for the good side, but I had to kill ~3 innocent, they were in my way :D
The end was pretty cool, I didn't expected a lot, I wish I had a better rig so I could enjoy the graphics, The biggest problem is my CPU, Ultra 120 Extreme here I go !!! :D

I will try to update the game, 1.2 removes 30fps cap, now wonder if my rig can ever go over 30 fps in that game :)
