I'm simply amazed that this hasn't been done already. (Or has it?)

Personally, I don't think that people with poor vision want to be on the computer anyways.

I don't mean to be offensive, but if you can't see at all, how are you supposed to burn it to start with? But great stuff for those in need.

Beats newspapers that are limited to a very small font. You can easily change the default fontsize or on the go with firefox, just ctrl+mouse wheel. Reading techPowerUp is no problem and I'd want to do that still if my sight somehow got very bad.

Blind people have computers that speak to them. Everything they do results in some narration. Websites are read aloud, etc. Don't discriminate.

Don't think blind people can use computers well? This guy (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=2438897) would like to prove you wrong. He's an SQL programmer/General DBA. Start by reading the whole thread.

After having worked in the specific field for a year, trust me when I say, blind people can do anything we can with a computer with the help of a "braille line" under the keyboard and special software.

cheers

I mean, its a good intentioned idea, just poorly done.

Most folks who cant see, wont be on the computer..unless they go the ones that speak to them and listen and type out or speak to other users.

Nope didn't say that, just though how they do stuff. Like I drag&drop files to burn from folder to the software and just couldn't comprehend how it can be done. But that link stated he only uses keyboard and shortcuts and software read waht's on the screen/outsputs to braille, so now I know.
