View Full Version : Logitech G9 Leaked

A Chinese site claims that the usb mouse in these pictures is the new Logitech G9 gaming mouse, supposedly an upgrade to the G5. The mouse looks like its real since I cant really remember any mice that resembles this one. Logitech seems to be using interchangeable faceplates and we also see that in order to add or remove weight to the mouse you need to remove the shipping faceplate. Finally we can also see that the LEDs for the resolution display are relocated as well.

its just a simple box to keep it all together to test with, once its finished it will look like a proper mouse.

its like what they do to cars while they test them, they cover them in nasty looking panels so the design/shape is not given away like this one here http://news.windingroad.com/auto-news/spied-mystery-two-door-subaru-toyota/

Yeah it's true, I very much doubt the finished version will look like that. Personally, I really don't think 'gaming mice' are really Logitech's market. I'de certainly never buy one. I have a Razer Copperhead, and Whilst it isn't the most comfortable mouse in your hand, paired with the Razer Mantis, it's one of the most responsive setups around. Much better than any Logitech offering. Yes I would know, I had a Logitech G35 laser. It was nice, but.. It's no Copperhead. Logitech has the mass market, leave the gaming niche to the pros guys. :)

You people should really stick to the main issue and not talk about spell checking.
When someone types really fast he is bound to make mistakes and unlike most people this IEspell proggie doesnt work in my rig and i dont know why !!! :P

Im not really bothered about what it looks like at the moment as im hoping there putting most of there attention to the laser and the technology in the mouse, the looks can be tweaked afterwards, one thing, whats the LEDs for near the LMB or are those buttons?

I'm quite curious as to what you are referring to. For years Logitech and Razer have been going head to head with mice. Once Logitech started bringing out gaming oriented keyboards guess who had to follow? Logitech is one of the top input device manufacturers, hence why I have a Rumble Pad 2, MX518, and G15. Oh and X-540 speakers. They wouldn't still be making "gaming" oriented parts if no body bought them now would they?

Wow...it's amazing how many people who don't even have some kind of thought that this WILL NOT BE WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE! It's just showing off features.

Once features are decided upon for the final version, they'll send it either to an in-house design team or a 3rd party company for aesthetics.

Lets hope thy make some huge anesthetic improvements on this beastly thing, otherwise it will be like the beast of beauty and the beast.

Anesthetic improvements? I don't want the moues to put me to sleep.

Guys realize this is an early beta version of the mouse. Just about every product ever made looked like shit at first, well things that were built based on features anyway. It probably has a new laser engine, new switches, and they are working on the placement of the lcd etc. I sure as hell wouldn't make something look like the final product if the design was only half complete, would you?

I have my hopes up that they release another good mouse but it looks ugly as is.. has one of those creative fatailty mouse looks. Im not sure if the Creative Fatailty mouse sucks or is good but its hella ugly and it dont look like I would enjoy the erogonamics in it.

Heres the creative, http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=23548&vpn=73AF099000000&manufacture=Creative%20Labs

the look of it kept me from buying it as interesting as it seemed :P

I think the news posters should just learn to proof read. So that this site's articles don't look like they have been written by fools. Which is how it often looks due to the poor analyzing of stories, and horrible spelling/grammar.

a111087
07-22-2007, 07:37 AM
alright guys, lets not focus on grammar, we all do mistakes, no exceptions allowed (contact your God for additional support)

we got the news though dont we, and if you want a more in-depth idea or have some doubts of whats going on, click on the source link.

I thin the news section is interesting enough no need to slow it down by having to have the article proof read by someone.. if theres a mistake.. than say something and it willl be edited :O so hard aint it! just point out every mistake in all the articles Im sure we would like your contribution:rolleyes:. ok I'll stop lol. but yeah I like how much interesting news "pours" into tpu and to have them inspect it anymore would slow that flow down..

I guess you dont read rthe local paper much, even they make mistakes to get the news out faster and they have to have degrees in English probably.

Everyone makes mistakes, its just that some people dont have something better to do than point it out all the time.
Its not easy to write entire paragraphs every day and not make a mistake Especially when someone doesnt have english as his native language and when the spell checker doesnt work.

Its not just him chewy many dont like it but its hard to keep track of everything that goes on around the net, try to post everything for people to see so they dont have to visit 10 websites in order to learn whats new and at the same time watch that i dont forget an ' in doesn't or even make a silly mistake like mouce istead of mouse. Im not sayin that it is right im just saying that it is not something tragic.
