View Full Version : Pirated copies of Harry Potter find themselves on The Pirate Bay

Pirates will vouch for me when I say that The Pirate Bay, one of the world's largest torrent search engines, can help you find movies, games, and all sorts of programs that would otherwise cost money, at the drawback of being illegal. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has officially been added to the list of things that can be pirated. Pirates have photographed all pages of the novel, compiled them into one tidy PDF file, and hosted them among various computers that support the Bit-torrent client.

Besides, I don't care if it's illegal :p

Its good, Mad-Eye dies in the beginning, and Hermione, Harry, and Ron quit Hogwarts to kill the whorecruxes.

I hate books, all of them. I can't stand reading, and it's been so long since I read a whole book, or even opened one.

I used to read them, back when they first came out. But the last time I read a book was 5 years ago. And I actually opened one last year!

When I last remember, they were pretty good books...

Nice. Employee discount?

Then again, $17.88 @ amazon is pretty damn cheap. :)

Although I sure wish college books would follow suit. $150 books are RETARDED.

plus thousands for tuition, housing, food, heating, cooling etc.

upper education in the US is incredibly expensive.

While in Europe, the smarter you are, the cheaper it is, down to the point where it very well could be free. (which is the way it should be)

I'm not what sure what the problem is. I read the 6th and 7th books on my computer, I move the monitor to a comfortable position (24 inch, maybe thats why its bearable), and then I read it all. Ironically, I ordered the book too, I dl'ed it because it was out a few days earlier and I didn't feel like waiting. Anyway, the copy I found was a little over a meg large, and very easy to read. Because of the size it was like a 15 second dl, I think buying the book makes up for dl'ing it.

Not in countries where non-profit copy restriction infringement isn't a criminal offense.

Oh wait, that's most countries ...

Wait.. they photographed EVERY page?

one version I found was litterally scans of each page, with literal hands and fingers holding pages down, that version was like 50 megs. The other copies were probably done by people typing them all out, some of the spelling errors implied the mistake was not made by scanning and putting into word, but rather people typing quickly, and letters getting put on the wrong word. IE, I typ etoo fast an dmess up from time to time

the way I look at it is, these rock bands, movie stars and writers all drive around in there ferraris, shopping, partying and making reality tv shows about themselves that they really ARE NOT that short of friggin money, so screw them and screw lining up for 2 days out the front of a book shop with 5000 little nerds all dressed up like witches just to pay 50 for a book.

Sorry J.K.Tolkiinnen (??) sorry metallica and sorry movie stars but you are not getting any of my hard earned money while you live your lavish life...

Aaah that feels much better.

BTW I use torrents all the time. :rockout:
