View Full Version : two or three pixel artifacts ok?

i overclocked my card and found 2 or 3 pixel dont match every 2 seconds. is this ok? or should i lower my clock.

Please don't make two identical threads about the same thing.

And just in case, I would lower the speeds a little bit so that the artifacts aren't showing anymore, just to be sure.

Two or three every two seconds is quite a few, you don't really want any. Even two or three could potentially cause your PC to display corrupt textures or even crash during intense 3D applications.

I'd say lower your clocks until you don't have any, or get better cooling.

which clock should i lower? stock was 675/1008. oc is 730/1130. lower mem clock or core clock?

what card is it ? and if you get artifacts you need to lower it

8600 gts. 2 and 3 pixel artifacts will ruin the card?

my temps OC is 43 idle and 55 playing games.

If you do a vmod... it puts like 1.5V to the core. You will need that cooling.

my temps OC is 43 idle and 55 playing games.55 under load? The artifacts could be caused because your card wants more volts for your speed. Either lower the clocks, or get better cooling and do the vmod.

Depending on the situation, artifacting can ruin the card, or at very least cause an instable system.

i would say any artifacts are bad just because and a error or a chance of freezing really worth it for about 8percent more of a frame rate? i say no when overclocking the best results is to make it stable!so you can use what you have got

artifacts are there to show its bad,isnt it buddy?U got two optons.Either chk which OC(core/memory)gives you the artifact by lowering them seperately or make your Vs high.But not too much.Then it will freeze u in games.
