Whats the best O/C you guys have got with an AMD x2 6000+ (3.0ghz stock)
Im clocked at 3.3Ghz... thats a 10% increase, im tempted to go higher...my temperatures are normal also and im using the stock Fan.

Go for it. If your temps are the same as they were originally, you should be able to go to at least 3.5GHz.

Good luck m8

well i tried running a game and my temp got to about 45 oC but i dont think its that bad the max i think is around 60..but i have software that will warn me if my cpu gets above around 52o just to be on the safe side. But seems promising enough so far! once i stopped the game the temp slowly went rite down again..it idles at about 33 oc.

What are you using to monitor temps? I haven't found anything that is accurate.

I bench mine @ 3427, but it takes a lot of volts for me. I'm on water.

Yeah me neither regarding temperature values. Everything I use show different temperatures values.

Maybe because you are using a DFI board (LoL, I know I shouldn't be talking considering I'm using a Biostar motherboard)? ;)

A little off topic... I'm suprised you haven't gotten those ballistix higher with tighter timings!?! I'm currently @ 484MHz (968MHz effective) CAS 4-4-4-10 with just 2.1v. The thing is that the TForce board won't allow memory voltage above 2.1v and you have to set a stupid jumper just for that! Even though I've pretty much maxed out my computer budget until AMD releases the Phenom, I broke down and got my hands on a new ABIT NF-M2 Geforce 6150/nForce 430 board so perhaps that'll help me out in time.

I haven't 100% optimized them. On 2.4v, I've done both 1072 Mhz 4-4-4-12 and 1200Mhz 5-5-5-15, just haven't bothered finding the best settings for 2.3v, which is my preferred max voltage.

i hit 3.55ghz wacking up the volts pretty fast but i had to drop my cpu multi to 10 to get these results seemed really strange tryed all sorts of different dividers and timmings but im going to stick with what i got atm :D :P asus M2R32-MVP ftw unless your using sli ;P

nice specs wile e i would keep with the faster speeds they would make up for the timmings being slackerned

I would suggest on an AMD rig there is very little, if any differecne performance wise between the tighter timings you have at 1072 and the looser 1200Mhz, I would prob go as far as to say you are better off with the 1072, likely to be the opposite of course on a C2D. My board has strange voltages but I can get 5-5-4-13 2T @ 1199Mhz on 2.35V, I wont go above that voltage wise but strangely I can get 4-4-3-10 @ 960Mhz on 2.15V.

amd have better memory controller and give better bandwidth

DFI are the best Overclocking boards there are for CPU and RAM ...they are a complicated mobo buts thats becuase they have a billion settings in the bios which is why they are normally the best overclocking boards.....I'm running my FX57@3.2 and this particular mobo is a bit flacky not the model mobo but the one I have.

dfi are good for overclocking but they are to twitchy 1 thing out of place slighty and thats it unstable asus are always stock rock solid oc'er ive worked with dfi's before but for pure precision like you said they are cracking boards but your board has the old ati chipset which was dodgey on usb support and compatibility issues

Agreed but they dont always perform as well at the very fastest speeds, ie if you take a 6000+ @ 3.5Gig, run the memory at 5-5-5-15 2T at 1200mhz speeds, do the same for a 6600 on the Intel setup, run sceincemark and look at the memory score which is the first test and I think you might be surprised, the main benefits are that you may be able to run tighter timings at certain speeds and bandwith is better on the AMD system but for some reason (I dont know the answer) once you get past around 1100Mhz some reviewers suggest Intel catches up.

Lol, you can only get nutty FSB's with a nutty motherboard, may will not break 400, this one fortunatly will do 507 for me and some have been known to do 520, not bad for a budget SLi board really.
