Hi guys,

Never OC'd a graphics card before, but decided to give it a go on my 9600Pro.

It's got stock cooling, and I dont really have any intentions of getting anything better, and was wondering what Overclock I should be expecting to get on it safely with stock cooling ?

It defaults at 398C/202m.. I got it OC'd to 459/266 .. However, I don't know the temperature of the card, as Im assuming you dont get that on the 9600's.

One more question, How do you get the overclock to stick? When I reboot the computer and load ATItool back up, it goes back to the default at the top & the sliders are back at the default value.. even though I saved it, and clicked Set Clock at the values I actually chose. Once I hit "Set Clock", does it stick at these values ? even though it goes back to default.

Cheers, Steve.

No, create a 2d progile with the stock clock, and a 3d one for games. When you enter a game, the OC will take effect. You dont want the card OCed all the time (like 2d, theres no need)

Cheers will do that.

Do you have any idea what values I can push up to safely with stock cooling ?

Is there any way to get the temperature of the 9600pro ?

Cheers.

Nope....some cards do more than others, but maybe atleast 440/330.... :/

No, it doesnt support temp monitoring.
