I know somebody in need of a monitor and they are broke. I thought somebody here might have an old 15" laying around or know where one can be bought cheap. They are using a 14" now  and it flashes on and off.

you'd probably be better off just trying to find one local as shipping wouldn't be worth it for a crt

yea it will cost more to ship the beast than it would actually cost to buy one. check the salvation army, they usually have cheap crt monitors for like 5 bucks. i have a 17 in crt in great condition i would sell him for 10 bucks but i bet it would cost 30 to ship lol.

I have an old 15" CRT, I do mean OLD, it's from circa 1994-ish, max resolution is 1024x768 @ 60hz, it's horrible. But the weight of the thing would cost 30-40 in shipping alone, it's nowhere near worth that. I'd say hit some garage sales (a buddy of mine got a 20" CRT for $15 a long time ago) or try the salvation army like stated before.

I have a 17" NEC CRT monitor. It is in perfect condition. I wanted to go for LCDs to clear space (so wife will be happy). This one is just sitting to be disposed. This week I was planning to give it to salvation army or goodwill stores. But if you want it take it for FREE, but you have to pay Shipping. I might have its original box and packing material still. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

Where do you live? California? Let me know where may be it is driving distance and you can pick it up.
