DVD to Xvid/Divx help needed

ok im using AutoGK to convert a few movies i have on my hard drive to avi files..i get everything setup correctly from what i have read..but after encoding 4 movies,none of them have sound when i go to play them,anyone know or can help me as to what im doing wrong? or maybe there is a better/easier way to do it? thanx for any input you guys can lend my way:toast:

what are you using to convert and make sure to dled the xvid codecs and some other ones that might help not sure what codecs to really download

i have downloaded the divx codec and the xvid came with autoGK,buti may look for the standalones...autogk uses virtualdubmod to encode

what program are you using to rip the movie with??
are you using a ifo or vob file?
