Hi everyone, I have a dillema:
when i run memtest86+ (v1.68) with both modules in the mobo i get hundreds of errors (mostly test 5 and 6), but when i run the test on just individual modules there are no errors.
I also tested the individual slots on the mobo w/ a single module and there were no errors.

So, the slots are ok i guess, but the mobo doesnt like the kit or the kit is badly paired?

Only when i stepped down the System memory multiplier from x3 (800 MHz) to the x2.5 (666 MHz) I could gen an error-free pass. I set DDR2/DDR3 Voltage to 2.0V and PCI-E, FSB & (G)MCH are all set to +0.1V. Most of the relevant other bios settings are at default values (5-5-5-12) provided by EPP. I am not an overclocker btw, but i need a reliable workstation (photoshop and video).

other cmponents:
Q6600 w/ stock HSF
WD5000YS x3
xfx 8600 gt xxx
Pioneer 212 (sata)
Silverstone Decathlon DA750
Pinnacle PCTV Pro PCI
Firewire 3+1 PCI controller card
Intel Matrix storage runs w/ both RAID0 and RAID1 volumes.

an update, I tried 6-6-6-18 at 800MHz and appears stable after an hour in memtest, but I still think the kit is badly paired...

end result: a replacament kit runs beautifully now, w/o any problems.
at least it wasn't the mobo! :-)
cheers!
