5-5-5-12, 800MHz (PC2-6400), (Patriot PDC24G6400ELK 4GB (2x2GB))?

The RAM is only clockable to 810MHZ - I think.

Board: ga-p35c-ds3r (rev. 1.1), BIOS F2
CPU: Q6600 (B3) @2.4GHz

Note: a photo/video editing WS, not a gaming box.
The stock fan is installed (it produces suprisingly low temps - 31C-70C),
but I have a Zalman CNPS8700LED & a tube of Arctic Silver 5 handy. :-)

I don't really want to overclock the CPU, but, if that is what is needed
to achieve optimum *stability* system performance I would listen to
effective answers.
This is not a 'ratio' debate, but really, which setting is the most stable -
- and why?

Any experiments?
Szilard

PS: the revision of the board is also baffling, there are no separate
forks of any driver, BIOS, etc SW for it, (while the 1.0 and 2.0 versions
are fully supported)... ...fishy?

youll find the 2gb modules arent as oc'able as 1gb modules but what voltages are you running them under btw?

2.0V at the moment and Patriots support service doesn't recommend to go above 2.1V.
