 I came home from work today and decided to play a little BF2
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd145/Craigleberry/screen020.png:eek:
As you can see I was not at all inpressed with the graphics.
http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd145/Craigleberry/screen019.png:eek:
So I uninstalled the 7.6 drivers and re-start system.
It will not display post! Card is only 1 month old:twitch:
Luckily I have also onboard so connect that. Motherboard is brand new ( put in at the same time as the card) I cleaned with CC Cleaner and Driver sweeper even though I knew that it wouldnt do any good AS IT WONT DISPLAY POST SCREEN:(

Is she buggered??

Um tell us properly please, anyway, you should have just posted this in the clubhouse instead of posting it here. GPU POSSIBLY dead, RMA or even refund it if possible, and grab yourself a new mobo :).

I am thinking the memory died in it?
It wont switch on the display when turning on the pc.
Cannot even get to see the post screen.
It powers up red light goes out fan spins.
Is that telling it properly.
The specs are on my system specs.

I guess I will switch over to pci e sooner than I thought:0

Lower down GDDR mhz. even below manofacture clock, and then try. Those are normal artifacts which appear on hight ddr clock

i had weird artifacts before with my pc x1950 pro, but i ended up fixing it by lowering my o/c. maybe you o/c ?

What I can see is definitley GPU artifacting.
Did a bit of a study on artifacting when trying to figure out what the lines were on my screen which turned out to be the monitor.

Fortunately for me my Sapphire X1950pro 512mb AGP is still going strong.

Looks like mobo and GPU upgrade?

Perhaps a HIS X1950pro PCI-E this time? lol

Better luck this time round.

had the same thing happen to me but on 3dmarks FPS just would drop so i turned the computer off and checked to make sure it was in the slot ok and the power was in all the way and it would show the post and just beep(think long beep) i had to RMA but i got a refund because they didn't sell the card anymore. It was only 2 weeks old also a HIS but it was PCI-e

I am just a little peeved about it but you get that.
But at least I am putting together a better setup so when this mess gets sorted out I will have a X1950 Pro for sale.

Anyone used the MSI p965 Platinum before is it anygood?

I don't know if this applies to you.
But it depends on the card your'e getting and you did say a DX10 card.
But if your'e get another X1950 say if you don't have the cash for a DX10 card yet read this.

Apparently you just need a BIOS flash update.

I cannot find were it says about a BIOS update except for the intel chipset. But I have a VIA chipset.

you said vi(pukes) aaaaaaa. jk What i like about via is that there chip-set runs cooler than nvidia and ATI i wouldn't buy one for a rig that i would want to do alot of ocing.

The link is about the intel chipset for the MSI motherboard you were talking about.

pos pc seems to be correct since my motherboard is also terrible for overclocking.
I was a bit iffy about choosing this motherboard since it just didn't add up.
"Overclockers motherboard. . . . . VIA chipset.":wtf:
BIOS also reads temps which are too high but from what I have read it's a AV8 issue with certain CPU's and not pointed directly at the VIA chipset.

I'm unsure what caused the death of you GPU.

Apparently there more threads about people having issues with these cards than any other because they are very popular.
Back in the day when the X800pro came out which was also a very popular card, I don't recall this many threads about it dying though. . . .

Lower the clock and mem settings and see what happens.
