what a fab game, and it looks great and runs very well on my system well impressed.
IGN and GT gave it a 9.5. Gamespot gave it a 9.0, which is a 9.5 in the same sense that they gave GOW a 9.3 and IGN gave it a 9.8 which was more deserving.

The game seems to be ok. But the "publishers" are screwing with your ability to use the software due to SecuROM. Upgrade your PC (or move the HDD) and you can't reinstall the game. THAT SUCKS BIG TIME. http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=38316

Pretty console ish. Maybe i've been spoiled by playing FEAR with it's effect. I like it it is playable to me i hear it has a good story to. BUT as lemonadesoda says they made a mess with it due to Securerom. So going wait till it's a lot cheaper and hopfully will not have the restrictions it has..
SHAME..

Oh, but it is. You can only install the game 3 times. And a *new* install is counted for every change in hardware.
They RECENTLY CHANGED this rule to 5 times. But there's still that "method" going on, whether or not you like the new limit of 5 installs. And I don't like that method.
How many reformats of upgrades have you done in your "PC life". And do you want to buy something that is guaranteed NOT to work if the SecuROM "licence management server on the internet" fails or goes bust.

If you deauth it first, then re-install, it doesn't count as an activation. And if you reach your activation limit on a machine, you can call customer service.
But I agree, it's a ridiculous thing to have in a game. The pirates will still get it, so it only becomes a hassle for legal owners. Kinda backwards, imo.

There needs to be a 3rd option:
"Didn't wait that long because didn't know about it until recently, but looking forward to playing it soon."
I'd pick that one. I've been looking forward to it for the past several months, but not years as I guess some fans have??

i dont understand much of the problem. as i understand it, you can put it on 2 machines. if you need more than that, they probably expect you to buy another copy, anyway. also, if you write reviews and plan to use this a benchmark, you can just de-authorize it. i really dont understand why people are so irritated by it. i'm picking it up this weekend, along with a new copy of bf2 {cd too damaged for a re-install}
