A user from techpowerup recently found out that the website www.torrentspy.com no longer lets U.S citizens use there site as a search engine. upset by this he did alittle research and figured out how you can get around the block, Torrentspy is probably one of the best Torrent sites to use its probably the safest and less to worry about trojans, spyware, adware etc. it is very well organized and a lot of people prefer it over www.thepiratebay.com
For information on how to get around it just ask him the user is
Ehstii
he'll let you know how to do it
im not encouraging piracy but i don't think its fair that anywhere else can use the site aside from the U.S and i mean look at it...in china they sell this shit on the streets once they burn it...

I don't think that this is appreciated by the mods.
Links to those sites are not allowed here. Personally i don't care but just wanted to let you know.;)

Isn't torrentspy being monitored or something?

Why should it be closed? There are perfectly legal torrents on this site too- just search for "ubuntu" and see what I mean.

I think this is a myth, I can access it just fine. No rules have been broken yet but please be careful.

lets me search too ...I guess there may be (MAYBE) some IP providers that block but that site its self does not block USA ip's .

I typed in BioShock and it came right up. It's not blocked from the US. Well at least it's not blocked yet.
I hit cancel before the download started.

lol I just tried again and I received the "Sorry, but because you are located in the USA you cannot use the search features of the Torrentspy.com website.Torrentspy's decision to stop accepting US visitors was NOT compelled by any Court but rather an uncertain legal climate in the US regarding user privacy and an apparent tension between US and European Union privacy laws."...now I am confused:confused::confused::confused:

Well got two things, first is the one with the whole privacy thing when I type in bioshock. The other is when I type in porn :o, it redirects me to a new site.

And this time it's their own fault...well it's those fuckers at MPAA and RIAA....
OH well, time to enjoy my torrents....hey, has anyone noticed that 90% of torrents sites are located outside of the US?, and yet you guys have your "amendment rights" which are probably more "free" than anyone else....lol
