Playing games from disk??

after tinkering with halo for 30 minutes i figured out how to make a disk that will run halo of the dvd it saves some space i just thought it was interesing

I used to do that. I had CDs burned with installs of old games like Unreal Tournament, Quake I and II, etc... it just becomes a hastle as you can never change your settings, and you're generally one of the last ones in the game due to slow loading times. 80GB for around $40 with shipping. Kind of hard to pass up if you're low on hard drive space.
